The Delusional Democrat Voter Returns

Hey folks, do you remember this?

Well, the same guy posted another round of stuff that Dennis Prager could write if he was trying to do a parody of a typical Leftist.
Simple question: Why is our nation so divided?
For one thing, it always has been divided. It was a massive feat to get our Constitution, and then we went through a terrible war between the states less than a century later.

But I have to shake my head when Leftists encourage people to balkanize into victim groups, each vying for higher status on the victicrat pyramid. Lefts want everyone to think of every thing through the lens of race, glass, and whatever new gender they've thought up.
The type of life experiences that would cause some one to support a bigoted lying showboater like Trump seem so disjointed from mine that I can't even comprehend them.
It's life experiences, you see, not a thought-through realization that the Left is destroying the Union by attacking American values.

I can't vouch for Trump's honesty, but Hillary Clinton is a demonstrable liar. I have yet to see how Trump's been bigoted. Anyone running for POTUS is a showboater.
Why can't they see that Trump is only saying what they want to hear and has no real policies (and few facts) to back up his assertions?
We live in the Age of Feelings. Trump is a populist. Most of the voters don't pay close enough attention for Trump to counter the combined attack by the media, big business cronies, and the Leftist Democrat machine. Detailed explanations of facts wouldn't reach  them and sink in.
Why can't they hear his dogwhistle calls to racists telling them he has their back,
No example provided. This is typical of the Leftists. If they can't actually cite something someone has said, they'll claim there is a hidden meaning behind what was said, and call it racist.
why aren't they as disgusted by this as I am?
Many people voting for Trump are disgusted by him. But they are sickened by Hillary.
When Trump says that climate change is a hoax, why are they willing to ignore the nearly actual science that says it isn't?
What would that be?

But Trump is wrong on nearly 100% of the things that this country needs to continue to be a world leader going forward and to provide a safe place for our children and grand children to live.
Really? You mean like keeping criminals out of the country?

SP commented:
And when you pair his policy ideas, which display his woeful ignorance, his multiple failed businesses, his habitual narcissistic self aggrandizement, and his petulant temper, you have someone completely unsuited to be in a leadership position.
What ignorance? Multiple failed businesses... what businessman in his league hasn't had multiple failed businesses? Must be nice to sit back and criticize people who actually try to do things.

BO stood up for Trump voters, saying they want a change.

SP came back with:

you're right that the country is desperate for change
Wait, I thought Obama was going to give us change!

But if you think Trump will improve a single one of those issues, I'm afraid you're letting hope get in the way of reality.
He's less likely to make things worse than Hillary, and, unlike Hillary, there's a chance he might do something other than grant amnesty to illegal aliens with an open border.
He has only one concern and that's Donald Trump. He won't lift a finger to do anything for anyone else.
We know that's not true based on his past actions. This sounds more like Hillary.

DF wrote:
You're lucky if you think a Trump presidency is just a wake-up call and wouldn't adversely affect you. For many, a Trump presidency means risking loss of rights that others take for granted;
Huh? What rights???

The original poster, responding to someone writing about their lack of trust in Hillary:

What percentage of your trust of Hillary is created by the right-wing's 20 year attack on her. She's, by far, the most qualified presidential candidate in decades.
Sure if those decades stop before 1988, a case can be made. Romney had many great qualifications. And what about Al Gore? Man, this guy is just parroting Obama.

SL wrote:
The nation is divided because of a lack of education.
A lack of education. Yes, yes, if everyone could be brainwashed by people who think like SL, there wouldn't be division. Never mind that there is 13 years of "free" education and another two years of almost-"free" education, there are public libraries everywhere... but yeah, it's lack of education.
There are voters running around that don't believe in climate change
They don't believe that destroying American prosperity is going to save the world, no.
don't believe in equality
They don't believe that homosexual anal sex is equal to heterosexual intercourse, no.
or in helping our nations people
Meanwhile, conservatives engage in far more private charity.
only protecting it from "evil people"
Intentionally blowing up civilians isn't really evil?

ARM replied:
I do not think this stems only from lack of education. I work with doctors daily that are highly educated and mostly foreign. I'm constantly shocked to find that are Trump supporters.
HA!!!

The OP then linked to the totally unbiased Los Angeles Times.

OP's wife, who wears the pants in the family and is much more manly than OP, wrote:
Trump's scapegoating and fear mongering reminds me too much of how Hitler came to power!
Yes, everyone you don't like is Hitler!

OP decided to add another wall of text:
The support of Trump, which reflects the politics of right-wing extremists becoming main stream, is a result of multiple factors.
He's not a right-wing extremist. He's a populist. It would be great if he were a  right-wing extremist.

And he's where he is because we have the Age of Feelings, with people fixated on "reality TV", the GOP leadership failing to satisfy much of their party either with actions or explanations, and a whole bunch of other people who feel screwed over by both major parties.
1) Xenophobia.
Yes, not wanting legal immigrants and naturalized citizens screwed over by illegal aliens, and wanting to protect your country from infiltration by people who regularly vow to destroy it make you "xenophobic".
We are one of the most, if not the most, diverse countries in the world. But we have never done the work required to truly integrate
And we won't as long as the Democrats thrive on balkanization.
nor have we finished dealing with slavery, redlining, and official policies of racism that continued through the 1960s.
That's the Democrats' legacy, buddy.
They want to go back to the time when being racist was part of being American.
When as that?
2) Poverty and the growing gap between the rich and middle class.
He's upset that people continue to do well. Unless you use government force to restrain success, there will always be a growing "gap". But most of the people who are poor today will not be poor for life.
3) A concerted attack on the value of education and higher education.
What in the world is he talking about?
Failure to hire, train, and pay educators at a level that respects the needs of our children has been a problem for 30 years.
Where is this happening? Teachers unions are some of the most powerful organizations around.
While the cost of a higher education has been increasing, money has been sucked out of the pockets of students by loan agencies.
Move government involvement has meant higher costs.
The right-wing meanwhile demonizes college professors as left-wing liberals.
No, they're Leftists. Big difference.

Today's job market requires the sort of skills and critical thinking you get from higher education.
Ha! Higher education is, more and more, reducing critical thinking.
Only Hillary Clinton wants to democratize high education providing at least two years of free public education at the college level.
Which means further demanding that people who will not use the service have to pay more for others to.
4) Globalization. As formerly third-world nations began to industrialize, good blue-collar jobs went overseas as our nation's leaders did nothing to incentivize companies to keep them here.
The Democrats have done everything to chase them away.
The result of the above, and other factors, is that the social contract in American has been broken (keeping in mind it never existed for many minorities and those living in rural downtrodden areas).
Where is this social contract, anyway?
OP next linked to the totally unbiased NYT.

OP then added more:

My initial question was about what divides us, there is a separate issue of why people believe the lies about Hillary Clinton but refuse to listen when presented proof after proof of Trump's lies.
"Lies" about Hillary.
No Hillary haters I've encountered can list any true offenses other than a general dislike.
Oh that's too good.
Benghazi was a failure, but more of the system and lack of funding from Congress, and was not a call made by Hillary (as her 11 hours of testimony revealed),
She LIED about Benghazi to grieving families AND the nation.
her email scandal is bull---- since her predecessors did the same practice and the Bush Jr. administration lost 22 MILLION emails hiding who the f--- knows what and no one brought them before a congressional committee.
Oh yes, it is BS that she lied, OBAMA lied, and she was sending and received classified information on a private server, placing people at risk, and then she tried to over it up.

Yes Clinton's husband cheated on her, but Trump cheated on his wives and his supporters don't f---ing care.
It isn't that WJC cheated. It is that HRC went after the women to try to ruin them, including a woman who has made a credible allegation of rape.

He's so angry that it would be worth it to see Trump win just to see this guy lose it.
Subsequently, he posted a link to a NYT article with the headline "Millions in U.S. Climb Out of Poverty, at Long Last" with this preface:
Thanks Obama! No really. We're finally starting to win the war on Poverty. Let's hope the nation keeps moving in this positive direction.
1) Who has controlled Congress?
2) Shouldn't the thanks go to the people engaged in voluntary transactions, including the individuals who worked their way out of what we call poverty?
3) See if you can find in the article anything that Obama did to create this situation.

It starts with human interest fluff. Then:
The Caicedos are among the 3.5 million Americans who were able to raise their chins above the poverty line last year, according to census data released this month. More than seven years after the recession ended, employers are finally being compelled to reach deeper into the pools of untapped labor, creating more jobs, especially among retailers, restaurants and hotels, and paying higher wages to attract workers and meet new minimum wage requirements.
The minimum wage requirements hurt, but OK.
Poverty declined among every group. But African-Americans and Hispanics — who account for more than 45 percent of those below the poverty line of $24,300 for a family of four in most states — experienced the largest improvement.
Oh, if only people could choose whether, when, and with whom to conceive children.
But a main driver behind the impressive 1.2 percentage point decline in the poverty rate, the largest annual drop since 1999, was that the economy finally hit a tipping point after years of steady, if lukewarm, improvement.
The economy is voluntary trades, not a government program.
“Another hidden benefit was lower prices at the pump,” Ms. Swonk said. “People who couldn’t afford the commute before could now afford to accept a minimum-wage job.”
Remember when people scoffed at a Republican woman who said we could have $2 per-gallon gas again? We've had that at least twice since she said that, thanks to things like oil drilling and fracking.
The article goes back to specific examples of people whose job situations got better.
Many of those who made it had outsize determination, but also benefited from a government or nonprofit program that provided training, financial counseling, job hunting skills, safe havens and other services.
What government program that couldn't have been done via private efforts?

The article returns to a couple of individuals.

Today, OP decided to comment ahead of the debate, linking to a video by Ezra Klein.

Someone with some sense, AC, spoke up:
Clinton is a crook. I expect nothing but lies and her desire to continue her dynasty of lies. Only 2 presidents in history have been impeached and her husband was one of them. It's more of the same with her, at least with Donald, despite his blubbering of nonsense, he can surround himself with the smartest people to help him make the hard decisions. Say goodbye to the 2nd amendment with Hillary. Not gonna stand for it.
OP responded:
You do realize that, of the two, Trump is the one that was found to be lying in 78% of his statements and Clinton was found to be the most truthful in her statements?
According to totally unbiased sources, I'm sure.
Nothing you say above has any basis in actual reality. President Clinton was impeached because he wanted to keep an affair secret ( a privilege that had been afforded previous Presidents), Presidents Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. actually ordered war crimes and started (or continued) illegal wars in central America and the middle east. Trump has said that he would use torture on prisoners, a war crime and impeachable offense. You need to check yourself and your unfounded hate for Hillary Clinton. There's no attack on the 2nd Amendment in any of her policies. Have you read her website?
HAHAHAHA! She'll appoint judges who will gut the 2nd Amendment the same way OP's scrotum has been gutted.

Then OP added:
Nothing will convince people like Anthony because they've drunk the kool-aid and don't realize how easily they are being made fools of by Trump and his lies.
Projection, much?

AC added:
I hate to tell ya, the 2 of them are neck and neck in the polls so if I'm drinking the Kool Aid, than so are allot of other people. We do not under any circumstances want Clinton to be our president and if it means voting for Donald then that is what an overwhelming majority of Americans are going to do. Thank the American people for allowing 2 horrible options to be our only choice. It's sickening that these are the only candidates that America has agreed to run for president
SL:
Honestly your post is so ignorant and you're so focused on 2nd amendment rights... why don't you go clean your gun. No one has ever said they're gonna take it away from you.

AC:
My guns are cleaned, locked and loaded. she wants to expand instant background checks to indefinite background checks, which means Americans in every state would begin to experience the kinds of waiting periods that residents in New Jersey currently experience. Stephanie, did you know that New Jersey resident Carol Bowne was stabbed to death by a former boyfriend while waiting for state’s permission to own a gun for self-defense. She had applied for the license to own a handgun on April 21, and over a month later, she was still waiting for New Jersey to say yes or no. She was killed while waiting. Do not call me ignorant because it shows you have no tolerance for a civil debate. Don't even get me started on Benghazi.

I have to go back to work now...

Someone else, CLK, jumped in:
...And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how Hitler rose to power.
Everyone who wants their rights is Hitler!

OP got ridiculous:
People like AC are amazing contortionists when it comes to bending facts and reality to fit their small minded world view. They're so afraid of change that they reject it even when it's good for them. The improvements President Obama has made over the last 7 years are amazing considering he was given the reigns at the darkest point in our nation's history since the Great Depression (economically) and World War II (in terms of fighting two wars simultaneously (one of which was illegal)). Things that are super important to the future of this nation, like dealing with global climate change, mean nothing to them. They''re willing to vote in someone who professes to believe climate change is a hoax. Trump can't believe that, of course. His properties near Miami are actually at high risk of being lost due to rising ocean waters. But Trump lies and people like AC eat it up because having to deal with actual reality is too tough for them to deal with. I'm sorry you had a rough life people, but we're not going to let you screw this up for the rest of us.
SL:
Idk why you told me that story. One story does not equal an entire movement to keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them. You know what else Hillary supports? An expansion of mental health care. Maybe if mental illness wasn't so stigmatized and swept under the rug, that ladies husband would have been sent for treatment and she wouldn't have needed a gun. Perhaps if she was in therapy she would have been strong enough to not be with someone with anger problems. She would have recognized it early.
These people are delusional. No wonder they want more free mental health care.
I don't care about Benghazi or the emails. They didn't file charges for either of those issues.
Obama's people didn't file charges in a situation that would have implicated Obama? How shocking!
If you feel like that's unfair, now you know how liberals feel that Bush and Cheney weren't tried for war crimes. Politicians are above the law. Donald trump isn't an outsider.. he's in the same club. He attends family events with Hillary. Political corruption is rampant and we need to address it. But honestly that conversation is outside of the scope of an election. Every politician lies, cheats and steals to get what they want. That's a fact. But what's important is what they lie, cheat and steal about.
Democrat voters, ladies and gentlemen.
Hillary has a record of supporting women and families, with a focus on children.
Except for the millions of babies who are slaughtered and the women who've been abused by her husband.
A long legacy of fighting for stronger education, health care, daycare, women's health, and the structure of the family.
None of these are federal government roles.
He's not even a very good businessman. Further, our country doesn't need a businessman at the head of it. They need someone who is for all people. Including immigrants and women. We are all the children of immigrants and women and Donald Trumps opinion on both is abhorrent.
I guess we're not the children of men.

OP wrote a "me too!"

AC:
I guess millions of Americans are fools as well. Keep patting your selves on the back. We'll see how that goes in November. You are a half assed journalist [OP] if you can't respect others political views without resorting to name calling.

After OP made a snipe about having facts and AC not, AC:
I served valiantly in the United Sates Navy during Desert Storm. Many of my shipmates naver came back... What have YOU done for your country? Let me guess... NOTHING
OP:
I was organizing anti-war demonstrations and marching in the streets protesting that unnecessary war. It's clear that history has backed my position as the more righteous. I feel for the families who lost people, but that doesn't make the invasion of another country without provocation right. I notice you don't mention the 10s of thousands, perhaps 100s of thousands of innocent Iraqi's who were killed by the US in those wars. Want to know where all those terrorists we're fighting today come from? That's as good place to start looking
Yes, yes, there would be no terrorism if it weren't for American military action. Sheesh.
