Are You Leaving California or Another Blue State?

For the first time since the state was created, California recently lost population. That's not "grew at a slower rate than expected." No, we literally had a population DECREASE.

One reason is that fewer people are moving to California and more people are fleeing California.

Are you leaving California? Are you thinking about it? There are countless Facebook groups (and I'm sure other social media and websites) all about leaving California.

I'm BEGGING you: If you leave California (or any other "Blue state"), when you get to your new state, VOTE FOR LIMITED GOVERNMENT*. Even if you haven't realized it yet, one of the reasons people (and, most likely you), have left or want out is a direct result of the policies of statist/Leftist Democrats. If you're a Democrat, please don't fall into the trap of thinking it's just Newsom (or  your Governor). It's not. It's the general mentality of growing government that is one of the main reasons California has the trouble it is having,

If you're a Republican, a conservative, libertarian, or someone else who is leaving or planning to, PLEASE consider a "Purple state" instead of a "Red state." If not a purple state, at least consider moving to a purple Congressional District in a red state.

Why?

Because we have a country to save.

We need more states to go from purple to red.

We need more Congressional Districts to go from purple to red.

YOU can help make that happen by 1) moving there, and 2) influencing your new neighbors.

Today's Democratic Party leadership has too many Leftists and other Big Government types. So we need the House of Representatives, or Senate, or the Presidency, which is determined by the Electoral College. All three would be great, but if we could get, say, the Senate, that would be a start.

Otherwise, the things that causing people to flee California and other "Blue states" will be implemented nationwide. And Blue states will use federal taxpayer money to pay off their government employee pensions.

=====

*Some would say having enough prison space, long sentences for career criminals, and funding the police is NOT "limited government." However, the effects of real crimes (like various forms of theft and various forms of assault/murder) tend to spur increases in the size and power of government. Most serious crimes are committed be a relatively few people. Locking up career criminals is prevention of that, and so ultimately keeps government limited. The effective alternatives would be clan/vigilante/self-imposed justice (requiring a thief to personally work of their personal debt to you, your brother avenging you murder by killing the murderer). So, unless we're going to go back to that ancient way of doing things, we have to delegate to designated, sanctioned law enforcement systems like Sheriff's departments, prosecutors, courts, prisons, and parole/probation agencies. Either way, we should have robust self defense options, like being able to carry firearms and being able to, within the law, defend ourselves, our property, and the innocent from those who'd prey on them.
